the client is seeking to appoint board members to strengthen governance and support delivery of its strategy, with a focus on increasing impact, integration, and long-term sustainability. Board Members will work alongside the board and executive team to provide strategic oversight, challenge and support decision-making, and respond to growing complexity across housing, health, and care. The board roles include Audit and Risk Committee responsibilities for two positions, as well as an additional role aligned to the People, Pay & Culture Committee.
For the Audit & Risk Committee roles, the client is looking for individuals who can bring either strong financial and audit expertise from a qualified finance background, or housing development experience with registered provider experience. For the People, Pay & Culture Committee, the client is seeking a senior HR or organisational development leader to help guide and oversee relevant people-related governance matters. Across all roles, candidates are expected to demonstrate strategic leadership experience and strong governance awareness, with the ability to balance effective oversight with constructive support and challenge.
Successful candidates will bring credibility to represent the client with partners and stakeholders and show a commitment to inclusion, co-production, and values-led leadership. The client offers an opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing board to help guide organisational direction, ensure robust governance, and support delivery of services that make a tangible difference to people’s lives. Applications are expected to include a CV and a supporting statement addressing the person specification criteria and relevant evidence of how candidates meet them, including readiness to provide two referees if proceeding to later stages, subject to candidate permission.
