The AVP plays a crucial role in supporting our client's research mission by assisting in securing funding opportunities, engaging faculty in research computing resources, and enhancing the recruitment and retention of research-active scholars. They also focus on expanding access to advanced computing capabilities, reducing barriers, and aligning workforce and user engagement strategies with institutional goals. Additionally, the AVP works to position our client at the forefront of emerging technologies by fostering partnerships with industry leaders in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing, data storage, and advanced applications.Operationally, the AVP is responsible for developing service models, facilities, and capabilities that support our client's research enterprise. They provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Center for Research Computing, ensuring efficient operations, effective communication with the Research Computing Committee, and alignment with partner organizations across the technology enterprise. Through these efforts, the AVP ensures that research computing services remain responsive, innovative, and in line with our client's strategic objectives.
