The client is seeking an experienced, data-driven leader for the Associate Vice President of Digital Engagement. This fully remote role leads a global digital engagement strategy across all client-owned digital channels, including email, SMS, social media, and online advertising. The position focuses on transforming online supporter engagement into sustained, measurable impact for animals by advancing digital campaign effectiveness, supporter mobilization, and long-term growth.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Engagement, the Associate Vice President oversees a multidisciplinary team responsible for growing and activating the client’s global supporter base. The role emphasizes strategic leadership rather than solely content production, aligning teams, channels, and data to create a cohesive approach that expands reach, deepens engagement, and supports long-term supporter value while maintaining a high-quality, supporter-centered experience. The leader will collaborate cross-organizationally with Engagement, Development, and Programs to influence campaign design and fundraising initiatives, ensuring digital engagement is leveraged as a driver of innovation and change.
Key responsibilities include setting and evolving a multi-year digital engagement strategy, guiding a cohesive cross-channel vision that balances long-term power-building with immediate campaign and fundraising needs, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve reach and engagement across the digital ecosystem. The role also owns and evolves the end-to-end supporter lifecycle strategy—from acquisition through retention and reactivation—ensuring integrated, high-impact experiences across channels. The ideal candidate will support data-informed decision-making, operational excellence, and team leadership, while challenging existing approaches, finding new opportunities, and driving innovation in how the client mobilizes supporters globally.
