The client invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Vice President for the Student Experience & Dean of Students (AVPDOS). Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the AVPDOS is a senior leader within the Division of Student Affairs and an integral part of the client’s broader leadership structure.
As a second-in-command within the division, the AVPDOS provides leadership and administrative oversight for student conduct, student engagement, student experience, residence life and housing, student connection and belonging, and the university union. This role is expected to enhance student engagement and retention, strengthen a sense of belonging, and ensure ongoing alignment with best practices in student affairs to cultivate a supportive and inclusive campus environment.
The AVPDOS will collaborate closely with student affairs directors and institutional partners to advance student connection, belonging, and engagement, while continuously refining the overall student experience. The client is supported by an executive search firm in this process, with applications and nominations accepted as part of a confidential search until finalists are selected, and initial screening anticipated to begin promptly.
