The AVP and Dean of Students at SFA will provide leadership and oversight for a comprehensive range of student affairs programs and services. This individual will be responsible for promoting student success, retention, and graduation through the development and implementation of innovative programs and initiatives. The AVP will collaborate with campus partners to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, while also serving as a resource for student organizations and activities. Additionally, the AVP will oversee student conduct processes, crisis management, and student advocacy efforts.The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in student affairs leadership. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. The AVP must have a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and be able to effectively engage with students from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will also have a proven track record of fostering student development and promoting a positive campus culture.
