The Sales Director will target higher education institutions within the US, expanding the adoption of the clients AI-driven academic solutions. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of the higher education sector and have established networks within universities. This role is an individual contributor position, well-suited for someone experienced in independent deal closures within the university domain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure.

- Develop account strategies to increase adoption rates.

- Establish and nurture relationships with senior figures in academia.

- Represent the client at higher education conferences and workshops.

- Deliver tailored presentations to align solutions with institutional priorities.

- Provide market insights and collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine strategies.

- Maintain sales data, forecast revenue, and share insights with company leadership.

Qualifications:

- Over 8 years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, with a specific focus on higher education and academic segments in the US.

- Experience with teaching and learning technologies or academic administration tools is crucial.

- Solid network within US universities and knowledge of procurement cycles and funding in higher education.

- Strong consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in CRM platforms.

- Willingness to travel within the US, with some international travel.
