The client is seeking an Associate Director of Alumni Engagement to help organize and coordinate alumni and community engagement programs and services. Working in collaboration with senior advancement leaders, the Associate Director will initiate and manage relationships with alumni, friends, and community leaders, using technology and digital communication channels to share information and support effective engagement and information management.
Key responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating national and regional alumni events, supporting in-person and virtual programming throughout the year, and coordinating alumni meetings. The role will also support philanthropic initiatives, including managing a special gift prospect portfolio for reunion and society giving efforts, contributing to reunion chair recruitment and anniversary year mailings, and coordinating content for annual fund materials and related digital or social media communications.
The Associate Director will collaborate with the advancement team on major events and operational planning, manage the Career Connections Program (including a LinkedIn component), recruit alumni volunteers and student participants, and work with the relevant career and professional development function to support program success. Additional duties include managing the Student Ambassador Program, developing event and registration content for alumni platforms, coordinating alumni class news collection and publication, supporting affinity group engagement, participating in the Distinguished Alumni Awards process, and maintaining constituent records and event attendance details in a fundraising database while informing advancement staff of important updates.
