The client is recruiting for an Associate Director, Infrastructure Advisory & Transactions, supporting a fast-growing commercial and transactions advisory team. The work spans the infrastructure project lifecycle, including feasibility and transaction assessment, commercial structuring, development of business plans and business cases, investment support for new projects, financing and procurement advice, commercial assurance during construction and development, and dispute analysis for existing contracts. The role will focus on infrastructure advisory and transactions work, with particular emphasis on housing and mixed-use development experience.
As an Associate Director, you will take day-to-day responsibility for leading client engagements and supporting business development activity. Responsibilities include delivering client engagements, building enduring client relationships (including post-engagement), and providing robust financial and commercial advice on project financial aspects. This senior role may offer progression to Director based on developing an appropriate business case.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in public-private partnerships, joint venture models, project finance and/or structured finance models, developed through work with private and/or public sector clients, with deep knowledge of financing structures and commercial considerations. You should also have in-depth experience in at least two relevant areas, such as strategic advice to public sector bodies on development and/or capital plans; development and investment partnerships involving local authorities; alternate housing classes (such as extra care housing or student accommodation); and complex, multi-phase mixed-use development schemes. A strong network and brand within the sector, along with demonstrable experience of identifying and opening up opportunities and converting them, is expected.
