The client is seeking an Associate Director of Corporate Communications to shape corporate reputation, support key business milestones, and translate complex science into meaningful stories. The role partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive fast-paced, high-visibility external and internal communications initiatives.
Key responsibilities include leading integrated corporate communications strategies aligned to corporate priorities, pipeline milestones, and brand positioning; managing media relations such as drafting press releases, building relationships with healthcare and industry media, and supporting proactive outreach; and creating accessible messaging for media, investors, healthcare professionals, and patients. The role also designs internal communications initiatives to support culture, organizational alignment, and change management, and contributes to crisis and issues management by preparing communication strategies and materials. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, HR, Commercial, and Executive teams to ensure compliant and aligned messaging, partnering with leadership to develop speeches and presentations, monitoring media coverage and industry trends to mitigate reputational risk, and supporting communications related to clinical milestones, regulatory updates, corporate announcements, and scientific presentations.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field (with a master’s degree preferred) and 5–8+ years of corporate communications experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or related fields. The client seeks demonstrated ability to support corporate reputation, executive communications, media relations, and internal initiatives, including translating complex scientific and clinical information into clear messaging for diverse audiences, along with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using media monitoring and collaboration/digital communication channels are expected, along with the ability to independently develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations. Domestic travel up to 10% may be required for meetings, conferences, and events.
