Description

The client is seeking an experienced physician executive to serve as the inaugural Associate Chief Clinical Officer (ACCO) for a new medical campus opening in 2027. This role will be the most senior physician leadership position at the campus, reporting to the organization’s Chief Physician Executive, and will provide enterprise clinical leadership across campus facilities, with a focus on aligning clinical operations with the organization’s mission while advancing a high-efficiency, patient-centered model.

As ACCO, the successful candidate will champion a distinct, community-integrated care model characterized by limited learners, community-based productivity standards, and rapid patient access. The role will oversee physician leadership and provide direction to medical directors across multiple clinical areas, including oncology, musculoskeletal care, sports medicine, reproductive medicine, cardiovascular services, radiology, and surgery and anesthesia (and expanding), while partnering with department and division leadership to ensure faculty are supported, clinically engaged, and operationally successful. The ACCO will also collaborate closely with other senior clinical leaders to shape innovative, accessible models of care.

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking physician executive committed to clinical excellence and efficient care delivery, with attention to the needs of both patients and providers. This position requires an MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent, board certification in a relevant adult specialty, and active clinical practice aligned with the specialties offered at the campus. Experience leading in a fast-paced, complex healthcare environment and demonstrating success influencing in a matrix setting is expected.
