The client is seeking a physician executive to serve as the inaugural Associate Chief Clinical Officer for a new Troy Medical Campus scheduled to open in 2027. This role is the most senior physician leadership position at the campus and will report to the Chief Physician Executive of the enterprise. The Associate Chief Clinical Officer will help establish a distinct, community-integrated care model focused on limited learners, community-based productivity standards, and rapid patient access, while supporting advanced adult specialty care programs and integrated diagnostic and procedural services in a state-of-the-art setting.
The Associate Chief Clinical Officer will provide enterprise clinical leadership across all campus facilities, including specialty care, cardiovascular, and advanced imaging, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and driving an efficient, patient-centered model of care. The role will partner closely with senior operational and nursing leadership and will play a central part in shaping innovative, accessible models of care. This leader will provide physician oversight and direction to medical directors across multiple service lines, including oncology, MSK, sports medicine, reproductive medicine, cardiovascular services, radiology, surgery, and anesthesia, and will collaborate with department and division leaders to ensure faculty are clinically engaged and operationally successful.
The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking physician executive with a strong commitment to clinical excellence and efficient care delivery, and the ability to balance patient and provider needs. Success will typically include experience in fast-paced, complex health care environments and demonstrated success leading by influence in a matrix setting. The role requires an MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent, board certification in a relevant adult specialty, and an active clinical practice aligned with the adult specialties offered at the campus.
