The client is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Online Learning to provide strategic and administrative oversight for its online programs. Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, the AVP will advance the institution’s vision for high-quality, scalable online education that expands access, supports student success, and strengthens its competitive position in higher education.
The AVP will partner with academic leadership and cross-functional teams, including deans, faculty, enrollment management, marketing, and technology, to develop and grow market-responsive online programs. Responsibilities include ensuring excellence in instructional design and digital pedagogy and implementing effective student support models for online learners. This role will lead a multidisciplinary team focused on program development, instructional design, learning technologies, and quality assurance.
Using data, market intelligence, and industry partnerships, the AVP will inform program strategy, drive enrollment growth, and sustain long-term program viability. The role provides strategic leadership and vision for the client’s online learning portfolio and initiatives across credit and non-credit programs, including long-term planning.
