The client seeks an Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA), a data-driven and collaborative leader committed to student success and the development of faculty and staff. Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), the AVPAA will provide strategic leadership for academic functions and foster collaboration across academic departments and units on the client’s Brooklyn campus, while partnering with a post-campus counterpart to advance overarching institutional priorities.
In this role, the AVPAA will serve as a key connector to ensure alignment of mission, processes, and procedures across the Brooklyn campus. Working closely with deans, the AVPAA will strengthen the academic and research portfolio, oversee academic operations, guide accreditation and policy compliance, and promote student success and enrollment growth. The position is also expected to champion innovative processes and technology, support data-informed decision-making, manage resources responsibly, and help ensure implementation of school-specific strategic plans that meet or exceed accreditation expectations.
The client will partner with a national executive search firm to manage the recruitment process, and screening of complete applications is expected to begin immediately and continue until the search concludes.
