The Assistant Vice President, Risk reports to the Vice President, Risk and Chief Actuary, and is responsible for leading initiatives to advance the life and health insurance industry's interests in risk-related matters. This includes developing and executing strategies related to enterprise risk management, operational risk, emerging risks, regulatory developments, and industry policy. The AVP serves as the primary point of contact for risk-related engagement with regulators and industry partners, and provides leadership to key committees and working groups to shape industry positions and responses. Operating in a collaborative environment, the AVP must navigate complex issues, balance diverse member perspectives, and foster consensus to advance common objectives.Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, stakeholder management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to align diverse member priorities. The AVP must be able to effectively engage with our client's member companies, regulators, and industry stakeholders to drive forward risk-related initiatives.
