The Assistant Director of Risk Management will report to Risk Management leadership and play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk within our client's organization. This position will focus on advancing patient safety initiatives, ensuring adherence to standards of care, and reducing organizational liability. Responsibilities include overseeing daily risk management operations, providing guidance to staff, and leading the department in the absence of the Director. The Assistant Director will review occurrence reports, identify trends and risk patterns, oversee Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), and develop strategies to prevent future events and improve organizational performance.Collaborating with clinical and administrative leadership, the Assistant Director will be a key resource across the health system, addressing complex clinical and legal concerns, supporting investigations of potential claims, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting requirements. This role will involve coordinating reporting obligations, supporting policy and program development, advancing staff education initiatives, and contributing to the implementation of organization-wide risk reduction strategies. The Assistant Director will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and quality within our client's organization.
