Description

We are seeking two exceptional Assistant Chief Fire Officers (ACFO) to join the Executive Leadership Team and contribute to the strategic development of the service's journey. These roles are critical for shaping the future direction of a prominent and progressive fire and rescue service. As an ACFO, you will provide strategic leadership across a major functional area, focusing on performance, culture, and service delivery while championing the organization's values and inspiring trust within the workforce.

In the roles, you will strengthen services delivered to the Greater Manchester communities by collaborating with local and national partners, responding to priorities set by oversight bodies, and driving innovation and improvement. You will assume full strategic command of the service in the absence of the Chief or Deputy Chief Fire Officer. Key responsibilities include leading complex organizational changes, strengthening partnerships, and maintaining a strong commitment to workforce health and wellbeing, ensuring an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued.

We are looking for senior leaders with an operational background and strategic command level experience. Candidates should demonstrate authentic, collaborative leadership, experience with inclusive, values-based leadership, and a commitment to public service and ethical decision-making. The client offers a comprehensive remuneration package, including relocation allowance and development opportunities. Enthusiastic candidates who reflect the diversity of the community are especially welcomed to apply. An open day for prospective applicants is available, offering insights into the organization. Interested candidates should apply through the designated recruitment partner.
