Description

The client is seeking an Asset Management Service Director to lead and support the asset management team in a direct-hire onsite role with travel expected. The position is based in the Chicago, Illinois, United States area and involves providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to support successful account management and long-term customer obligations.

The director will provide leadership, technical support, and guidance to ensure successful implementation and ongoing service delivery. Responsibilities include developing and executing operational and maintenance plans covering preventive maintenance, emergency response, repairs, and temporary services; creating and maintaining plant manuals and operational plans with effective coordination across customer and internal teams; implementing quality control measures to meet operational standards; onboarding and managing vendors and subcontractors with a focus on compliance and performance; coordinating internal business units; and reviewing KPIs, customer reports, maintenance records, and other performance metrics to drive operational resilience, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications include a minimum of 10 years of experience in service operations and management, with at least 5 years managing teams and personnel, along with experience supporting multiple customers and teams. The role requires strong customer management and business growth skills, knowledge of service, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs, and the ability to manage profit and loss activities, reporting, and financial forecasting. Effective communication skills, attention to detail with multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and awareness of industry and competitors are expected, along with travel of 20–60% to job sites and office locations.
