The client is seeking a senior finance professional to support the APAC CFO in a newly created role with leadership responsibilities. This position will develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives across the Asia-Pacific region, while providing financial reporting, analysis, and actionable insights to support regional decision-making.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards, leading and mentoring finance professionals across multiple markets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive profitability and cost optimization. The role will also manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies, and will identify opportunities to improve financial processes by implementing best practices.
The successful applicant will have a degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with professional qualifications such as HKICPA, AICPA, CPAA, or ACCA. The role typically requires 15–20 years of relevant accounting and finance experience in a multinational company setting, with Big 4 experience considered a plus; strong leadership, expertise in financial operations, planning, analysis, and reporting, solid knowledge of APAC regulatory and compliance requirements, and exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are also expected.
