Description

The client is seeking an Americas Sales Director to shape a strong and profitable business across North America, Central America, and LATAM. The role partners closely with targeted customers to implement commercial activities aligned with the overall company and brands strategy, with responsibility for achieving and exceeding assigned targets, including Net Sales, Gross Margin, and Profitability.

The Sales Director will drive commercial strategies and plans across a portfolio of brands in both Professional and Trade channels. Responsibilities include analyzing competitors and market conditions in the Americas; developing sustainable business expansion strategies; managing the customer portfolio and evaluating future potential with leadership; scouting and qualifying existing and new customers and distributors, including in less-covered territories; launching new product lines and sub-brands; supporting promotions and market-specific initiatives; and providing education to help ensure product performance through collaboration with the relevant education function at HQ.

Key execution duties include analyzing monthly sales results and profitability by customer, maintaining accurate forecasts and sales plans, and coordinating and coaching a sales team (including agents and sales reps) while supporting remote management. The role also implements pricing and discount strategy, assesses customer needs in relation to performance and return on investment to safeguard profitability, aligns with HQ for customer portfolio management, orders, payments, and shipping processes, and may attend major industry exhibitions. Ideal qualifications include distributor management experience and fluent Spanish, with beauty/haircare experience being a plus; strong presentation and negotiation skills; proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel); SAP knowledge as a plus; and at least about 10–12 years in sales management or sales development roles, along with accountability and leadership.
