Description
Governance, Fellowship, and Strategic Leadership • Partners with and supports the Board of Regents, Executive Committee, Foundation Board, State Chairs, and Committee leaders. • Develops and maintains positive, effective relationships with the Executive Committee, Regents, and other Fellows. • Ensures the Board and Executive Committee are kept informed of the conditions of ACTEC's programs and activities, as well as other important information. • Works with the President to develop Board meeting content and agendas, leadership orientation and training, and other governance development activities. • Serves as the primary staff contact for the Officers and Regents, anticipating and meeting their needs for materials, information, and support to fully manage their roles and responsibilities. • If the Executive is not the key staff representative to a committee, oversees, assigns, and manages staff by providing administrative support and guidance. • Provides expertise and guides the Board and Foundation Board in nonprofit governance requirements. • Maintains awareness of legal and financial reporting requirements for 501(c)(6) and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and ensures compliance. • Supports the nominations and elections process, including orientation of new Board members, officers, State Chairs, and Fellows. • Partners with the Regents, State Chairs, and Committees to recruit, engage, and retain Fellows. • Works with the Regents and staff, implementing and refining the strategy and business plan for the Fellows’ Institutes. • Manages risk, including assuring compliance with bylaws, policies, procedures, applicable laws, regulations, and governing documents. • Ensures all funds, physical assets, and other ACTEC properties are appropriately safeguarded and administered. • Authorizes and executes contracts and commitments in accordance with bylaws and policies established by the Regents. • Establishes and maintains positive, effective relationships with ACTEC meeting sponsors. https://static1.squarespace.com/static/6315ba1115db3003bd3b5b39/t/698cf4b990251f71952dbaaf/1770845369155/ACTEC+Executive+Director+Position+Profile.pdf
