The client is seeking dedicated individuals to serve as Board Members on their Area Boards, providing strategic volunteer leadership to accelerate the mission of the organization. Board members will be responsible for representing the client in their specific geography, developing and executing market plans, and obtaining resources to further the mission. This includes overseeing an annual strategic plan, obtaining financial and volunteer resources, and participating in fundraising events.
In addition to serving on the Area Board, members will be expected to make an annual giving commitment and participate in fundraising events. They will also be responsible for selecting representatives for regional and enterprise level leadership opportunities, as well as stewardship and recognition of companies, volunteers, and donors in the area. Board members will also be tasked with volunteer leadership development, establishing partnerships with other ACS volunteer structures and affinity groups, and collaborating with community partners to execute the client's priorities, policies, and guidelines in the area.
