This position offers hands-on leadership over day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting, general ledger management, month-end close, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. You will lead inventory, cost accounting, and revenue recognition processes across multiple sales channels and operational systems, while also owning accounting systems and identifying opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen internal controls, and streamline financial reporting. The role involves partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, resolve accounting challenges, and support business decisions, as well as leading accounting-related process improvements and audit preparation.
The client seeks a leader with 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience leading an accounting function and managing a team in a growing organization. You should have strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, inventory management, and cost accounting, along with experience in a manufacturing or product-based business. Hands-on experience with NetSuite is expected, and the ideal candidate is self-directed, solutions-oriented, and able to make independent decisions while balancing strategic responsibilities with hands-on execution; the role is based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid schedule of three days per week in the office.
