The client is seeking an Academic Dean for their upcoming Birmingham Campus, in partnership with the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA). The Academic Dean will be responsible for leading all academic and administrative activities at the Birmingham campus, ensuring high-quality, student-centered learning that aligns with LCCA's progressive pedagogy. The successful candidate will provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction to support academic staff in delivering outstanding teaching and learning, while also contributing to the client's plans for growth and innovation across the UK.
The ideal candidate will have experience in academic leadership within higher education, with a strong track record of operational leadership and academic delivery. They should have experience managing academic teams, improving teaching and learning, and building collaborative relationships with external partners. Knowledge of the QAA Framework, UK higher education policy, and widening participation is essential, along with a commitment to student-centered education and inclusive leadership. Experience in planning new course provision, working with online learning systems, and leading institutional change would be beneficial for this role.
