The Managing Partner and founder of GAIN, Wolfgang Doell, has more than 33 years of experience in the search for specialists and executives and has managed more than 600 international and national search mandates in almost all functional areas of the automotive and manufacturing industries. After completing a degree in business administration in Frankfurt (1986) and a part-time Executive MBA in England (1997), he started his professional career in the marketing department of a publishing company. For the next 14 years, he held various areas of responsibility at Heidrick & Struggles, including as a core member of the Automotive Practice Group and as Managing Director of a wholly owned subsidiary. He then joined Deininger Unternehmensberatung, where he became Managing Director. From 2005 to 2012, he was Managing Partner and co-founder of the German Courland organisation and also acted as a member of the Global Executive Advisory Board.
