About Dr. Anyu

Dr. N. Will Anyu is a Principal and Executive Search Consultant at TM² Executive Search, a premier firm exclusively dedicated to identifying transformational leaders for HBCUs, PBIs, and MSIs. Based in North Carolina, Will is a distinguished expert in the higher education landscape, recognized as an NCCU 40 Under 40 honoree. He partners with boards of trustees and institutional search committees to place high-impact leaders—including presidents, provosts, and deans—who are uniquely equipped to navigate the socio-economic and funding challenges specific to the Black College Community. His work at TM² is mission-driven, aimed at increasing leadership tenure and institutional sustainability through a "concierge-level" search process. Will’s professional trajectory is defined by a deep commitment to educational equity and student success. Prior to joining TM², he honed his executive search expertise at leading firms such as True Search and Storbeck Search, where he led C-suite mandates across the Climate Tech, EdTech, and non-profit sectors. His background also includes a significant tenure as the Senior Program Manager of Equity, Research, & Development at GoGuardian, where he launched "Project Equity Connect" to address learning gaps exacerbated by the pandemic. Beyond recruitment, Will is a sought-after speaker and educational consultant through his agency, Will Anyu Speaks, focusing on the empowerment of first-generation, low-income students. Dr. Anyu earned his Doctor of Education (Ed. D.) from the University of Pennsylvania, where his dissertation—graduating with distinction—explored the sense of belonging for marginalized students at elite universities. He also holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a B. A. in Mass Communication from North Carolina Central University. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at NCCU, Will remains deeply connected to the classroom and the student experience. This blend of scholarly distinction, corporate leadership, and specialized search expertise makes him a vital advocate for the next generation of higher education excellence.
