Uroš Zver is a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles, operating out of the firm's Amsterdam office in the Netherlands. As a core member of the global Climate & Sustainability, CEO & Board, and Industrial Practices, Uroš specializes in placing executive and non-executive leaders within organizations that strengthen critical global systems. His advisory work focuses on guiding venture capital investors, growth equity funds, and multinational boards through C-level appointments, international scale-up talent management, and corporate decarbonization transformations. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles in late 2024, Uroš spent over three years at True Search, where he served as Partner & Managing Director for the Energy Transition, Industrial, & Climate Tech practices across the EMEA and APAC regions, alongside acting as the Benelux Regional Lead. He entered commercial executive search as a Partner and Consultant with Apollo Executive Search. Before his transition into executive recruitment, Uroš built a distinguished early career in diplomacy, international governance, and academic research. He served as an EU Representative to the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission in New York, Chief of Staff to the Permanent Representative at the Mission of the Republic of Slovenia to the UN, an Attaché for the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Public Diplomacy Coordinator for NATO, and Acting Deputy Director-General of the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE). Additionally, he spent over four years as a doctoral researcher and group coordinator at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. In his youth, Uroš was a competitive track and field athlete, representing the Olympic Committee of Slovenia as a National Athletics Team Member and competing as an ASICS-sponsored athlete. Uroš holds a Bachelor of Arts (A. B.) in Government from Harvard University and earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) in Global History from the European University Institute.
