Tom Thackeray is a Partner in the London office of Heidrick & Struggles and a key member of the global Private Equity Practice. With nearly two decades of experience in the alternative assets sector, Tom specializes in executive search and leadership advisory across the entire life cycle of private capital. He advises General Partners (GPs) in EMEA on senior appointments ranging from investment and operating professionals to fundraising and investor relations specialists. A significant portion of his work involves partnering with private capital funds to address the leadership and board requirements of their portfolio companies. Tom joined Heidrick & Struggles in 2011, having previously focused on the alternative assets market at Stevenson James and fixed income search at Hogarth Davies Lloyd. His expertise spans various illiquid strategies, including credit and hybrid funds. Tom�s approach combines deep technical knowledge of capital deployment with a strategic focus on portfolio management. He is an alumnus of the University of Bristol, where he studied Politics, and he completed the General Management Programme at Cambridge Judge Business School.
