Sue is a Senior Consultant at RSAcademics in both the Consultancy Services and Appointments teams. Specialising in marketing strategy, international recruitment and stakeholder engagement, she works with schools to refine their positioning, strengthen communications and develop strategies that support sustainable growth. Sue’s recruitment experience spans appointments for schools across the UK and overseas where senior marketing and admissions leaders must work with families and staff whose expectations can vary widely. She supports schools to shape roles that reflect both their values and context so that candidates are assessed with fairness and purpose. Her steady approach helps panels reach decisions that are grounded in a clear understanding of the school’s needs. After reading PPE at the University of Oxford, Sue’s career began in commercial brand marketing, giving her a strong foundation in strategic planning and audience insight. Following several years as an expat, working and living in Venezuela, Spain, France, Thailand and the United States, she moved into the education sector where she led Marketing and Admissions at The Abbey School, Reading. Sue first joined RSAcademics in 2019, contributing to UK marketing and international recruitment projects, including coordinating the major research study ‘How and why families choose schools in Dubai’. She was seconded to Dragon School, Oxford, as Director of Marketing and Admissions in 2020, before returning to RSAcademics in 2022. She has served as a governor of a prep school and her children have been educated in international, independent and state schools.
