Sonya has held senior leadership roles at top-tier firms including Heidrick & Struggles and Major, Lindsey & Africa, where she specialized in placing high-impact legal leaders for Fortune 50 corporations and emerging companies alike. She is a prolific thought leader, frequently featured in podcasts and media discussions regarding leadership and retention. Sonya is deeply committed to civic engagement, serving on the boards of the American Writers Museum and Girls, Inc. of Chicago. She earned her JD with a specialization in International Legal Affairs from Cornell Law School and her BA with honors from Kalamazoo College, including international studies in Spain, France, and Sierra Leone.
