Based in Mexico City, Sofia brings more than eighteen years of experience across the Finance value chain - including Banks, Asset Managers, Central Banks, Ministries of Finance, Development andMultilateral Banks, Brokers Dealers and Insurance companies. She has a deep understanding of the financialandregulatory ecosystem andcan help leading organizations identify andrecruit leaders who drive continued growth andtransformation. Sofia joins Russell Reynolds from Credit Agricole CIB, where she was Managing Director for FinancialInstitutions Client Coverage across Latam ExBrazil. Throughout her tenure, she worked with clients on topics ranging from Debt Capital Markets, including Capital andSustainable Issuances, Derivatives, Credit andRepo Trading, ALM and Capital Solutions, Trade Finance, Cash Management, andSustainable Banking, among others. Sofia began her career at the Central Bank of Mexico in the asset allocation strategy and investment of the international reserves. Following that she joined the Ministry of Financeas an advisor to the Undersecretary andlater she worked at Bancomext, the Exim Bank of Mexico, in charge of the Funding Strategy for the DevelopmentBank. Sofia holds a Master's in Business Administration from INSEAD, anda Bachelor of Economics from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM). She is fluent in Spanish, English andFrench.
