Dr. Shawn Hartman is a versatile operations executive currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Academic Search, Inc., and the COO of the American Academic Leadership Institute. With over 20 years of experience across the higher education, political, and corporate sectors, he specializes in managing core business functions while fostering ethical environments and organizational excellence. His career includes significant leadership roles such as COO of Squillace & Associates, where he helped build an award-winning law firm, and Communications Director for the Massachusetts Democratic Party. Dr. Hartman’s background is rooted in organizational leadership and psychology, having served as an adjunct professor and residence hall director early in his career. He holds an Ed. D. in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University, an MBA from Colorado State University, and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from Springfield College.
