Sam Pettway is the Founding Director of BoardWalk Consulting, a firm he established in 2002 with the exclusive mission of "finding leaders that matter for missions that matter." With over 40 years of experience in executive search, Sam has served clients across almost every US state and 16 countries. His career includes senior leadership roles at two of the world's most prestigious search firms, serving as a Senior Director at Spencer Stuart and a Partner at Egon Zehnder. A specialist in the nonprofit sector, Sam is a recognized advocate for board governance and executive leadership transitions. He is a US Navy veteran who circumnavigated the globe aboard the USS Shangri-La. Sam holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from the University of Virginia. An avid long-distance runner, he completed his 20th marathon in Boston in 2018.
