About Dr. Wecker

Dr. Roman Wecker is the Regional Managing Partner for the Industrial Practice in Europe and Africa at Heidrick & Struggles. Based in Frankfurt, he is a seasoned advisor specializing in the "connected industry," focusing on robotics, automation, and electrification. Roman partners with global firms and private equity investors to secure C-suite and board talent capable of navigating the dual challenges of technological transformation and sustainable growth. He is a certified Leadership Assessor and Coach, bringing a human-centric perspective to organizational development. Roman’s advisory work is informed by 12 years of high-level operational leadership at Robert Bosch GmbH. During his tenure, which spanned Germany, Switzerland, and China, he served as a Member of the Board for the Power Tools Accessories business unit. In this global role, he was instrumental in driving large-scale transformations focused on digitalization, customer-centricity, and agile methodologies. His international experience is particularly deep in the Asia-Pacific region, where he served as General Manager in Hangzhou, China. He began his professional career as an Associate at the global consultancy Kearney. Dr. Wecker holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Witten/Herdecke, where his research focused on internet-enabled supply chain management. He also earned a Master’s degree in General Management, Strategy, and Controlling from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Reflecting his commitment to global progress, Roman served as a curator for the German branch of the Club of Rome for several years. His philosophy blends deep industrial expertise with a grounded, common-sense approach to leadership, helping organizations bridge the gap between technical innovation and enduring relevance.
