About Wueste

Richard A. Wueste joined AGB Search in 2012 and has conducted more than 95 full and interim searches since joining. Mr. Wueste search work is informed by 25 years of experience as an executive in higher education and professional expertise in leading President, Provost, Executive Director, and Dean executive searches. Mr. Wueste’s administrative career includes direct experience in strategic planning and organizational design; human resources; procurement; university advancement; student services and enrollment management; government, public and community relations; auxiliary services; financial services; and risk management. During his academic career, Mr. Wueste established the ethics program for the Harriman School of Business at SUNY-SB and developed and taught courses in ethics, law and leadership. He is co-author of the academic book, Human Resource Development in Changing Organizations. Working as a management consultant, Mr. Wueste has served as President and CEO of three integrated consulting corporations engaged in economic development and educational enterprises in the US, China and southeast Asia. Mr. Wueste also owns and operates an independent consulting practice, specializing in education and economic development. He publishes a blog (rawinsight.wordpress.com) and has been a contributor to newspapers and education publications. Mr. Wueste led the team that created the Mount Adams Health Foundation to help provide for the health care needs of the working poor in rural Washington, serving as founding Chair and President. He has served on the boards of a number of other public service and professional organizations.
