Richard Sumner is the Regional Managing Partner for Europe and Africa within the Global Consumer Markets Practice at Heidrick & Struggles. Based in London, he brings over 25 years of experience in executive search and leadership advisory, with a specialized focus on the consumer and sports sectors. Richard partners with a broad spectrum of global and pan-European clients to recruit high-caliber leaders at the C-suite, Board, and General Management levels. Prior to his current regional leadership role, he spent nearly a decade at Korn Ferry, where he served as a Senior Client Partner and led the Chief Marketing Officers Practice for the EMEA region. His career also includes significant experience at Whitehead Mann and Futurestep. Richard is recognized for his deep understanding of the evolving consumer landscape and the unique leadership requirements of the global sports industry. He holds a BA (Hons) in European History and French from the University of East Anglia and studied History at the Universit� Paris-Sorbonne.
