Dr. Rachel Charney is a Managing Associate and Senior Client Partner at Grant Cooper | Diversified Search Group, where she specializes in executive search for healthcare and higher education. She leverages a unique dual perspective as both a search expert and a practicing board-certified pediatric emergency physician. In her recruitment practice, she manages high-level searches for physician and administrative leaders across academic medical centers, integrated delivery systems, and managed care organizations. Dr. Charney also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Saint Louis University, following a 17-year tenure that included roles as Director of Disaster Preparedness and Director of Contact Tracing. Her clinical and academic work is focused on disaster response and family reunification research. Previously, she served as the Medical Director of Disaster Preparedness for SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. She holds an MD from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and completed her residency and fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine. She also earned a degree in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University, with additional studies at the University of Oxford.
