Profile Nicholas joined the search and selection team at Sheffield in 2012. Business Experience Prior to joining Sheffield, Nick worked in a range of professional contexts that include running his own retail business and roles within banking and financial services. As Associate Director, his breadth of experience is evident from his strength in relationship management, stakeholder engagement, business analysis and project management. As a qualified DDI trainer, he has also provided facilitation services to a range of clients, actively supporting emerging leaders in their professional development. Now with over ten years working in search, selection and HR facilitation, Nick has broad experience in the appointment of senior leaders within the education, finance, health, social development and local government sectors. His private sector practice is also well developed, working with clients across infrastructure, construction and technical services. Based in Wellington, Nick is passionate about the ongoing evolution of leadership competencies across Aotearoa’s public and social services. His experience provides him with deep, pragmatic understanding of modern leadership attributes, and how these are best assessed – and applied – in the appointment of outstanding leaders. In his spare time, Nick enjoys reading good fiction, writing (bad) fiction and spending time with his young family.
