Miguel Sousa Morais has been part of TRANSEARCH Portugal as Head of Business Development since 2025. In this role, he leads client relationships and actively contributes to Executive Search projects. He is particularly driven by the mission of matching the right talent with the right opportunity. Miguel began his professional career in M&A and Investment Banking, working at two leading international banks before joining the in-house M&A team of Portugal’s largest utilities group. These roles provided him with a strong foundation in financial analysis, strategic thinking, and market dynamics. Following the completion of his studies, he joined McKinsey & Company, where he worked for four years across a range of industries and projects. During this time, he contributed to strategic initiatives for large organisations in sectors including Utilities, Agribusiness, Insurance, and Banking, supporting clients in complex transformation and strategy projects. Miguel holds a degree in Management from Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), as well as a Double Master’s in Finance and Management (CEMS) from Bocconi University and Nova SBE, graduating cum laude in 2021. From early in his academic journey, he developed a strong interest in Macroeconomics, dedicating a significant part of his time to teaching both privately and at university level in Introduction to Macroeconomics and Macroeconomics.
