His leadership advisory work is specific to board, CEO and CEO succession with an emphasis in private equity sponsored companies. Deep search experience Matt is passionate about developing strong client partnerships where value creation is driven through improved leadership, culture and shareholder return. Specific industry focus includes third party logistics services, security services, facility management services, testing inspection and certification services, waste and environmental management services, landscaping services, pest control services, energy services, distribution services and residential services. He has led nearly 500 senior-level engagements for organizations seeking growth, turnaround or transition through executive search, executive assessment and succession planning. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Matt served as the head of business development for a leading global executive search firm. Earlier, he built the services practice for an international recruitment organization, focused on supply chain and operations leadership assignments. Before his career in leadership advisory services, Matt was a producer and on-air reporter for ESPN Radio in Chicago and ESPN/KFAN in Minneapolis. Matt holds an undergraduate degree in public relations from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and an M.B.A. from the Northern Illinois University College of Business.
