Matt Guthridge is the Managing Director and Practice Leader for Industrial, Energy, and Natural Resources at Russell Reynolds Associates in Australia and New Zealand. Since joining the firm in 2020, he has served as a global leader for the Mining & Metals practice, advising on C-suite search, board placements, and M&A due diligence. Prior to this, he was the Executive General Manager of Strategy and Transformation at AusNet Services, where he led a comprehensive multi-year digital and sustainability transformation program. Matt’s extensive consulting background includes serving as the Head of Utilities Transformation at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and as a Partner at PwC Australia. He also spent over a decade at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Partner, where he co-developed the Organizational Health Index (OHI). His early career includes roles as a psychologist at Morgan & Banks and a consultant at OSA Group. Matt holds a Doctor of Psychology in Organizational and Industrial Psychology from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Diploma from Monash University.
