Marc Baca is a Managing Director, Partner, and Head of the Houston Office at Russell Reynolds Associates, where he leads the global Power and Utilities Practice. He conducts CEO, board, and executive-level search assignments while advising energy clients—ranging from pre-commercial startups to Fortune 100 corporations—on culture, board effectiveness, and succession planning. Concurrently, he serves as a Board Member for U. S. VETS. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 2016, Marc served as a Senior Vice President at Advisian, the independent global advisory arm of WorleyParsons. Previously, he spent fourteen years at ExxonMobil in upstream oil and gas commercial leadership roles, holding executive positions and completing international assignments across the Middle East and Africa. Marc began his career in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer onboard the USS Boston fast attack submarine. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from The George Washington University, a Bachelor of Science with Merit in Control Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, and is a certified nuclear engineer.
