Malek Sarraj is a Consultant at Russell Reynolds Associates in Zurich, where he works in executive and board search as well as leadership advisory. In his current role, he supports leadership hiring and advisory projects for clients across industries, leveraging both business and technical expertise to evaluate and place senior executives. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates in 2022, he worked at McKinsey & Company as a Project Manager in McKinsey Digital, including a secondment with Verisure in a private equity context, where he focused on digital transformation initiatives. Earlier in his career, he held software development roles at Allianz and iteratec GmbH in Switzerland and Austria, and also worked as an Analyst at Speedinvest, gaining exposure to venture capital environments. He began his career in research roles at ETH Zürich and the Université de Genève, supporting academic work in mathematics and related fields. Malek holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from ETH Zürich, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Geneva, and also studied Mathematics in the Honors Program at the University of Sydney.
