Mahauganee Shaw Bonds, Ph. D., is a Senior Consultant at Academic Search in Stockbridge, Georgia. Drawing upon her expertise as an educator and trainer in emergency preparedness and organizational leadership, she provides consulting services for higher education clients. She originally joined the firm in 2018 as a Consultant. Concurrently, she served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Salem State University and a Social Science Research Fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Previously, she spent five years at Miami University, progressing from Visiting Assistant Professor to Assistant Professor of Student Affairs and Higher Education. Earlier in her career, she worked at Indiana University Bloomington as a Project Associate for the Faculty and National Surveys of Student Engagement. She also served as Assistant Dean and Director of Student Engagement and Leadership Development at Dillard University and began her career as a Graduate Assistant at Rockhurst University. Mahauganee holds a Ph. D. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington, and an M. A. in Educational Administration and B. A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
