Kate works with the Appointments and Consultancy Services teams at RSAcademics. Kate has worked within the independent school sector for 18 years. She joined the Royal Grammar School in Guildford as Deputy Bursar, then becoming the Bursar and Clerk to the Governors for 10 years. Her role covered all aspects of the operational and bursarial functions within the senior and prep school. This included finance, human resources, estates, building projects, health and safety, strategy, governance and clerking responsibilities. She has experience of managing major building projects, an organisational restructure and many other projects of varying sizes. Kate was involved with the recruitment of many of the senior support staff roles as well as some of the academic appointments. Kate was involved at the early stages of the RGS International school programme and was a director of their international companies throughout that time. Kate originally trained as an accountant at KPMG with many of her audit clients being within the charity sector. She went on to spend several years in graduate recruitment and internal training roles. Kate has been a governor at a local primary school for over 7 years and has recently taken on the role of chairman of the board.
