Since joining Academic Search in May 2019, Ms. Kate L. Cusimano has been involved in a variety of searches for both public and private institutions, inclusive of those with Carnegie R1 and R2 Research Classifications. These searches have included presidencies, provosts and other cabinet-level vice presidencies, and deans of academic units. Ms. Cusimano previously worked at Drexel University as the Director of Academic Advising at the College of Computing and Informatics. In addition to her own caseload of students, she managed an advising staff, handled escalated cases for 2,300 students, was the Chair of the Academic Standing Committee, and oversaw various initiatives to increase student retention and graduation rates. Ms. Cusimano also collaborated with admissions representatives to plan, manage, and provide presentations for recruitment efforts and student events. She served as an adjunct faculty member at Drexel University and worked in the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement at West Chester University. Prior to her career in higher education, Ms. Cusimano was an account executive for the recruiting firm Hobart West Solutions. She holds an M. S. in higher education counseling and student affairs from West Chester University and a B. A. in psychology from Millersville University.
