Justin McLennan is Managing Partner of Odgers Berndtson's business in Hong Kong and Shanghai. He specialises in finding executives across Corporate, Institutional and Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Consumer Finance, Global Markets and Private Equity. He has worked in executive search for over two decades in Asia Pacific Region, focusing on financial services. He has lived and worked in Hong Kong since 1997. Educated in the UK, Justin began his career as an officer in the British Army, graduating from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst in 1990. During five years with the military, he saw active service during the first Gulf War, Northern Ireland and served postings in Germany and Canada. Justin started his executive search career in 1995, initially with a blue-chip ‘City’ headhunting firm in London. He transferred to Asia in 1997 and was the Managing Director of another financial services executive search firm in Hong Kong for over 10 years. During this time, he has built up an extensive network across the region and has a proven track record of success in placing senior financial professionals with his clients, with an emphasis on client focus and building long term relationships. This resulted in repeat business from clients for him over the last two decades.
