About Mr. Garcia
Juan García partners with Lindauer to support advancement leadership searches, providing strategic counsel and cultural assessment in the recruitment of senior advancement executives. He is also the founder of Audax Strategic Intelligence, an advisory firm that helps universities, foundations, and academic medical centers accelerate fundraising growth through the development and implementation of integrated strategies, analytics, and operational improvements.
With more than three decades of leadership experience across higher education and global consulting firms, Juan has led advancement strategy, campaign planning, and operational transformation initiatives at institutions including The University of Texas at Austin, Wake Forest University, and Arizona State University Foundation. He played a key leadership role in UT Austin’s $6 billion What Starts Here campaign and has advised institutional leaders on campaign readiness, organizational design, and analytics-driven performance management.
Juan is recognized for translating institutional priorities into scalable operating models that integrate analytics, technology, and talent to accelerate fundraising outcomes. His work spans campaign strategy, prospect development, advancement operations, and technology modernization, with a consistent focus on driving measurable impact and building high-performing teams.
Prior to his work in advancement, Juan spent 11 years as a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Arthur Andersen, and BearingPoint. His consulting experience focused on strategy formulation, merger integration, revenue growth, and operational improvement, including international assignments in South America and the Middle East.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
