Frédéric has been advising French and international companies on their Tech & Data matters for over 20 years, both in advisory and in litigation. He specialises notably in digital risks and compliance relating to data (GDPR, e-Privacy, Data Act, EHDS), cybersecurity (NIS2, DORA, CRA) and artificial intelligence (AI Act). He has advised operators involved in some of the largest data breaches to have occurred in France in recent years (both during crisis management and in relation to post-crisis remediation plans). Frédéric is also recognised as a leading expert in digital transformation and strategic IT projects, as well as software and database law. Finally, he has extensive experience in Tech transactions (carve-outs, joint ventures, TSAs, etc.) as well as in Internet and online media law (AdTech, OTAs, e-commerce, video games, streaming platforms, etc.). Holding a Ph.D. in Private Law, Frédéric is the co-author, with Professor Philippe Gaudrat, of the Traité de droit civil du numérique (Larcier, 2015), a subject he taught for ten years at Panthéon-Assas University (Paris II). He currently teaches “Intellectual Property in Algorithmic Systems” at Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris I). Before joining Fieldfisher Paris, Frédéric was a partner at the law firm Jeantet, where he headed the IP, Tech & Data department for 10 years. Frédéric speaks both French and English.
