Ms. Dianne Kenney’s extensive background in human resources leadership makes her a natural fit as a higher education search partner, and her diversity of experience informs her work for every Academic Search client. At the start of her professional career, Ms. Kenney practiced municipal law, which included labor and employment matters. Wanting to focus her efforts more specifically on labor and employment law, she eventually moved into public sector human resources in Burlington, Vermont, and later, into higher education human resources, first at Dartmouth College and then serving as CHRO at Carnegie Mellon University and Columbia University. Her ability to quickly understand an institution’s culture, effectively communicate with hiring managers and search committees, and identify talent especially suited to particular leadership positions aid her in building strong and diverse candidate pools. And, her years of counseling and guiding university colleagues and search committees through the process of identifying the right executive hires at critical times is experience that now enables her to assist her clients in achieving similar outcomes. Ms. Kenney embraces each search as an opportunity to strengthen the institution and position it for future success.
