Derek Wilkinson is a Partner and the Global Co-Head of the Public Impact Practice at Odgers, where he leads the firm’s efforts across the education, public sector, and not-for-profit landscapes. With over 30 years of expertise in talent advisory and executive recruitment, Derek specializes in helping mission-driven organizations—both nonprofit and commercial—identify and secure transformative leadership. His career is defined by a deep understanding of organizational dynamics and an ability to navigate complex, multi-layered institutional relationships. Prior to his current role, Derek served as a Managing Partner at Boyden and held leadership positions at boutique search firms and major technology consulting providers. His commitment to global impact extends into his board service; he is a Member of the Board of Directors for the US-ASEAN Business Council, an Ambassador for the World Benchmarking Alliance, and an Advisory Board member for the Coalition for the Homeless. A graduate of Franklin University Switzerland with a BA in International Relations, Derek has also served on his alma mater’s Board of Trustees. He currently serves as the Odgers’ Americas Council Delegate to the AESC, reinforcing his role as a leading voice in the global executive search community.
